Production Week 4, 5 and 6
As you all probably know by now, we have now began going into the Production stage of creating Crunch Time. This blog post is about the process we went through during week 4 till week 6. We go through individual on what we have made through this time.
During weeks 4-6, for Sarah. She worked on doing last couple of friendly characters that need to be fixed. After finishing the character, she moved onto animation for the characters. Such as walking animation and talking animation. So, she because she already a template of she needs for the animation all she had to do clean up the positions and the clothes. When creating the face animation, she copies and paste the faces that she had redone then separate the bodies from the faces and create open, half and closed mouths for the characters.
During weeks 4-6, for Gosia. She has finished off all the rooms and polished them and fix the perspective issues. She has also drawn the hallways and made backgrounds for the battle scenes. In addition, she did some planning around the main menu UI, pause menu UI and the inventory UI. She also had finished and defined the story line structure (the whole story line has been written in Twine).
During weeks 4-6, for Chris. This stretch he focused on further developing systems for the game. This included adding music, a new global events handler and improving the functionality of the dialogue system. Now the NPC can tell when the player has talked to them once and new dialogue which reflects this can be added.
