Production Week 1, 2 and 3


We have now began going into the Production stage of creating Crunch Time. This blog post is about the process we went through during week 1 till week 3. We go through individual on what we have made through this time.

During weeks 1-3, for Sarah as the character artist of this game, she started doing the main characters first, to get the idea of how to outfits would work out. Bu, also work on learning how to use the pen tool again on Photoshop to make the line a lot cleaner than before. When finishing the main characters, I start to do the boss and the friendly characters, when it comes to the boss, I changed the boss face, so it looks more like hamburger then a sandwich.  

During weeks 1-3, for Gosia as the environment artist of this game decided to re do and adjust backgrounds for the office rooms. I also did some sketches for following rooms and did some research regarding the UI for the battle scenes, to make it look more polished. 

During week 1-3, for Chris as the programmer of the game. For the first three weeks he focused mainly on rebuilding the project from the ground up. This took longer than I had hoped it would for two main reasons; he was not as familiar with how the systems he created worked so he had to learn it all again, and the new systems he came up with took longer than he expected to create. In the end the new project benefits greatly from the revised systems as content can be created more efficiently thank before.
